We as individuals must take into account the importance
of communication. Communication is not only the words that come from
one’s mouth or the approach in which they are used, but starts before
some even realize. Communication begins with the understanding of one’s
past actions, present actions, and one’s future expectations and
dealings. Communication pertains to the conquering of one’s personal
goals, which are set by the individual, the individual’s family members,
or friends, and even others that come into contact with the individual.
Communication relies heavily on a reliance of support and teamwork when
addressing personal matters, and helps one focus on the process of
acting, reacting, and negotiating ones feelings in a certain situation.
Therefore, to help understand the importance of communication we will
discuss what communication is, what its purpose is, what good
communication is, the difference between verbal and nonverbal
communication, team or group communication, and written communication.
